Our Story
Child Law Partnership was established in 2001 in Guildford by Philip Bennett and Peta Malthouse to provide specialist legal advice and representation in children’s cases. Since that time the firm has expanded in terms of size and the areas of family law serviced.
We now provide our clients with advice, support and representation on a whole range of family law matters including divorce, financial settlements & cohabitation agreements. In addition to the Guildford office the firm is now also located in Basingstoke, Southampton, Portsmouth, Reading and Camberley.
Why Choose Child Law Partnership?

We specialise in family law and we don’t do anything else. Whatever your situation and whatever the issue it will be familiar to us. Given our experience you can be confident that we have handled cases similar to your own.
Proactive Lawyers
As well as specialising in family law, all of our lawyers are themselves specialists either in child law or divorce and relationship breakdown. We realise that often cases require emergency action and we are always available and able to speedily respond to any urgent situations

Our specialist lawyers are accredited as members of the Law Society Children Panel and as specialist lawyers by Resolution. The firm is accredited by the Lexcel quality kitemark.
Expert Guidance

Ongoing Support
We can accept your instructions and provide you with assistance and advice whether in person at our offices or elsewhere by arrangement, by phone, email or through the use of video conferencing platforms. In this way we can accept instructions from clients based anywhere in the UK or overseas.
Social Services
Our childcare lawyers undertake some of the most challenging cases involving Social Services intervention with families to protect children in cases of neglect, allegations of non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse, fabricated illness and cases where one parent is murdered by the other.
